How Much Does CLO Cost in 2026? Plans, Student Discounts, and Post-Trial Billing

Understanding software costs is a essential step before integrating 3D fashion design tools into your personal studio or company workflow. In 2026, CLO offers subscription options tailored to individual designers, students, recent graduates, academic institutions, and corporate apparel teams.
We structure our pricing to ensure that independent creators get full access to professional 3D garment simulation tools without corporate overhead, while enterprise teams receive the administrative and security controls they need. Here is a breakdown of CLO subscription plans, student discounts, alumni benefits, free trial conditions, and refund policies. Note that CLO is our software, and all prices are listed in USD as of August 2026.
Every figure below is taken from our own billing documentation. If you want the raw source for any number, the Help Center article How much does CLO cost? is the primary reference.

What are the CLO subscription plans and costs in 2026?

CLO operates primarily on a subscription model, providing continuous updates to core design features, GPU rendering enhancements, and fabric simulation libraries.
CLO Individual Subscription: $50 per month or $450 per year when billed annually. This plan is built for solo freelancers, hobbyists, patternmakers, and independent creators using the software for commercial or personal projects.
CLO Student Subscription: $25 per month or $225 per year (a 50 percent discount off the standard individual rate). This plan provides full software functionality for qualified academic users.
CLO Enterprise Subscription: Custom pricing based on seat volume and organization requirements. Designed for corporate apparel brands, manufacturers, and multi-user design departments requiring centralized user administration and team asset management.
These three tiers and their current rates are maintained in the CLO Help Center under How much does CLO cost?. For the exact checkout path for each license type, see How can I purchase CLO?.

Who qualifies for the CLO student discount?

The student discount reduces the individual subscription cost by 50 percent, making professional 3D fashion design tools accessible during your academic studies.
To qualify for student pricing, you must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting high school, college, or university. Students taking short-term certificate programs, non-accredited online workshops, or individual adult education classes are not eligible for the academic rate.
Verification occurs through SheerID during checkout. You must submit an official document showing your full name, educational institution, and current enrollment date, such as an unexpired student ID card, class schedule, or transcript. Once SheerID verifies your status, the 50 percent discount applies automatically for one full year. You can re-verify your student status annually as long as you remain enrolled.
Full eligibility rules, accepted documents, and re-verification steps are listed in Does CLO offer student discounts?.

What is the CLO Alumni discount and how do you apply?

Transitioning from school into the professional fashion industry presents financial hurdles for emerging designers. The CLO Alumni discount eases this transition by providing a 50 percent discount on both monthly and annual individual subscriptions for one full year.
To qualify for the Alumni discount, you must have completed a full-time program at an accredited university or school. Your graduation or completion date must be within the last six months prior to your application. If you graduated more than six months ago, you are no longer eligible for this specific transition program.
Unlike the automated student verification, the Alumni discount requires a manual request through our support team:
Maintain an active, registered individual CLO account.
Wait for any active Student Subscription to expire, as the discount cannot be combined with an active student license.
Submit a support ticket via our Contact Us page on the Help Center.
Attach an official graduation letter from your university confirming your degree completion and date.
Specify your preferred billing cycle (monthly or annual).
Once our support team verifies your graduation letter, you will receive instructions to apply the 50 percent discount coupon to your account. The discount remains active for 12 months, after which the subscription renews at the standard individual rate unless canceled.
Submit a support ticket via Contact Us, following the request format described in CLO Alumni Discount: Supporting Your Transition to the Professional World.

How does self-service refunding work after trial auto-billing?

When your 14-day free trial ends, the system automatically converts your account into a paid monthly or annual subscription using the payment details provided at sign-up. If you forget to cancel your trial before the expiration date and are unexpectedly billed, you can request an immediate refund through our self-service system.
We offer a 24-hour self-service refund policy for first-time billing events following a free trial. If you are charged upon trial completion and do not intend to continue your subscription, you must fulfill two conditions:
Initiate the refund request through your account billing dashboard within 24 hours of the charge transaction.
Do not open, launch, or log into the CLO software application during that 24-hour post-billing period.
If you request a refund within 24 hours and have not launched the software after the billing event, the system processes a full refund to your original payment method automatically. Requests submitted after 24 hours or accounts that register active software usage after billing do not qualify for automated refunds.
The full policy, including what counts as software usage after billing, is documented in Self-Service Refunds Within 24 Hours of First Billing After Free Trial.
