CLO Academy is free for individual trial and subscription users. Set up an account, download your trial, and you can start the coursework.
The Manual, YouTube tutorials, Community, and Discord sit around it. This guide shows you what each one does and where to go when you get stuck.

Which CLO Academy Courses Should You Take First?
Take the courses in sequence. Start with the Intro to CLO series, then move on to specialized courses and master classes.
A few habits help you get the most out of each lesson:
- Take your time.
- Take notes.
- Pay close attention to the lessons.
Why Learn in CLO Academy Instead of Random Online Videos?
CLO Academy is a centralized learning path that guides you through your CLO journey. We teach it the way we believe it should be learned, based on years of training enterprise users, academics, and individuals.
We built it this way because even users who consider themselves intermediate or experienced may not know how to do everything in the best way. If you want to use CLO professionally, this is the path we recommend.
How Long Do You Keep Access, and What Happens to Your Progress?
- Access: You keep access for as long as your CLO subscription license is valid. If you cancel, you can still use CLO Academy until your current license expires.
- Saved progress: Your progress saves automatically. Check your completed courses and overall completion rate under My Learning in CLO Academy.
- New devices: Progress is linked to your account, so you can sign in on another device and continue where you left off.
- After your license expires: Access pauses, but your learning history stays saved. Re-subscribe with the same account and you pick up where you stopped.
How Do You Use the CLO Manual?
The Manual gives you step-by-step instructions for CLO features. Open it when you know what you want to do but not which tool does it.
It is available in English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. You can find it in the Help Center under the Manual category.
Which Free YouTube Tutorials Should You Watch?
The CLO YouTube channel has video tutorials from beginner to advanced:
- Beginner’s Guide to CLO: a free 4-part tutorial from our designers. It was recorded in CLO version 5.0, so some menus may look different in your version.
- CLO features: a playlist that covers every tool in the CLO 3D Window.
- CLO tips and tricks: tutorials for intermediate to advanced users.
You can also search the channel for tutorials in other languages.
